We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and committed Faculty Leader of Design Technology to lead the Department in the next phase of its development. Guiseley School is passionate about Design Technology, ranging its curriculum across Textiles, Food Technology and Product Design. We benefit from new Product Design and Textiles suites in our new state-of-the- art buildings, Key Stage 3 curriculum time commitment and high uptake at Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will match our passion and enthusiasm, leading a team of specialised teachers in ensuring we can take our Design Technology provision to the next level. For the right candidate, a recruitment and retention payment may be considered.

Guiseley School is an 11-18 fully inclusive school situated in a small town in the City of Leeds in West Yorkshire. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is now a suburb of north west Leeds and close to the stunning Dales. The school is part of a Co-operative Trust established in 2014. The school works jointly with a number of local schools to promote the welfare and success of the children of Aireborough. As part of the local community, Guiseley School has a firm reputation for high standards in both behaviour and academic endeavour. The Governing Board is keen to continue this traditional understanding of the school and to develop its reputation for excellence. The school is proud to have achieved the prestigious Platinum Artsmark award in 2017.
