An Ofsted rated "Good" school with a sixth form in the top 10% nationally for the last 4 years, Greensward Academy has started its search for an Family Intervention and Educational Welfare Officer to join our education support team.

Are you confident, patient, resilient and assertive when necessary?

We need you to help us improve school attendance through effective working with students, families and pastoral support teams as well as other external agencies. You will be required to ensure the accurate recording and reporting of attendance, investigate absences and ensure students receive support to return to school as quickly as possible. You will analyse data to guide interventions, evaluate their impact and improve figures for attendance and punctuality.

You will work supportively with families offering practical and emotional support to ensure the child’s needs are met within the family.

The successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiative, have good attention to detail, be reliable and flexible in their working pattern. Some experience in working in this environment would be beneficial.
