The Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust formally YHCLT is responsible for nine schools across Hull; two secondary and seven primary. Sidmouth Primary school is looking for a highly motivated Family Links Worker to join our team. 

The successful candidate will join the pastoral team and help us continue to 

  • Develop positive links between families and school.
  • Encourage communication between the school and families.
  • Improve attendance and late arrivals by monitoring and offering assistance.
  • Work directly with children and families, individually and in groups, particularly focusing on parenting skills, behaviour management, play and practical support.
  • Contribute to the Early Help process.
  • Carry out Home Visits to support families/children, providing outreach support to families.
  • Support the pastoral needs of the children.

Sidmouth Primary School is two-form entry split site primary school, taking pupils from 3 to 11 years of age.

It is an inner city school to the West of Kingston upon Hull and serves the Newland and surrounding area. Pupil numbers are increasing. We are fortunate to have additional teaching staff to support children with Special Educational Needs and those for whom English is an additional language. There is good liaison with all the various support agencies, School Health, Education Welfare, Social Services, Community Police, Psychological Services and Special Educational Needs Support Service.

We have good relationships with parents, children and other members of our community. The school has a reputation for being a warm, friendly, caring place and committed to providing a high quality education and caring deeply for the well-being of our children.
