Family Support Assistant, ACE Tiverton School

Role Summary

The role of Family Support Assistant involves providing effective support for students and their families and involves working under the direction of the Family Support Co-ordinator to ensure good outcomes for all our families. You will deliver professional, impartial and outcome-focussed support to help students make progress, thrive and fulfil their academic, personal, and social potential. 

This role is an exciting opportunity to further embed excellence in our school family by contributing to the development of our Family Association as well as to plan, facilitate and deliver, alongside our Family Support Co-ordinator, workshops and holiday programmes for our students and their families. The role will also include individual case work to support families with accessing services as well as support within their local community.  You will work as part of a team of staff to equip students with life skills that will enable them to thrive as independent, skilled adults who can navigate the multiple demands of the wider world. We are looking for a proactive, resilient team player who works with emotional intelligence, and a solution-focussed approach with the ability and flexibility to deliver specialist family support for our wider school communities. 

We are developing an excellent reputation for providing student-centred learning and support with the highest level of challenge to ensure our students attain the highest standards of personal, social, emotional and academic development. We have 75 students currently on roll, all of whom are in receipt of an Education, Health and Care Plan.
