Welcome to Cotmanhay Junior School!

We’re a terrific little school where there's always loads going on. Whilst we're delighted to have been judged by Ofsted as a 'good' school we actually think we're an awesome school - our children are fantastic and our teachers and TAs work tirelessly to make sure they are safe, happy learners.

We use some excellent schemes of work, such as Maths No Problem – which really ensure that our pupils get the best provision and our staff don’t waste hours of time on planning and marking. All our staff receive a brand new laptop and iPad to ensure they can access the very best teaching and learning opportunities.

The school has on-site parking and bags of space for outdoor adventure. It really is a great place to work and we look forward to receiving your application. In the meantime remember that a little spark of kindness can put a colossal burst of sunshine into someone's day. Keep smiling...

Our vision

Every child at Cotmanhay Junior School will be a champion. They will excel in reading, writing and maths and develop specialisms from the fields of sports, science, art, music, dance, drama, languages, humanities and computing. They will enjoy genuine opportunities to lead, innovate and compete on a regular basis. All our pupils will leave school with a love of learning.

Our pupils are motivated, ambitious and enterprising – they know how to make their own luck. They have a vision of the lives they’d like to lead, the career they wish to pursue and how they plan to be successful. Additionally they have the resilience, self-belief and tenacity to hold on to their dreams throughout their educational journey until they become a reality.

Our pupils are kind, empathetic and respectful. They know how to laugh, smile and have fun. They know what hard work looks like and they know it pays dividends.

Our pupils have the ability to inspire their community and make it an incredible place to live and work.
