An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Federated ICT Technician based in Castell Alun High School to provide support for a number of primary schools.  Technical support will be provided both remotely and through onsite visits.  The post, one of six in the Authority, offers an opportunity to gain experience in an education environment and to enhance your current skills and knowledge.

You will be educated to HNC/Level 4 in an appropriate discipline with relevant experience or able to demonstrate substantial relevant experience including provision of technical support.  Experience of working in a technical environment is required involving use of, and ideally provision of support for, servers, storage, user devices plus system and application software as well as electronic communications.

 The Federated ICT Technician will work on a range of tasks both individually and in partnership with the Authority's ICT Traded Service and external service providers.  It is essential that the Federated ICT Technician builds a trusted and valued relationship with school staff and service providers.

 Candidates must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.  Travelling expenses will be paid in accordance with Local Authority Policy.  The postholder will be subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance.  The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 15th November 2019.

Based in Flintshire County, Castell Alun High School is a very successful secondary school for children aged between 11 and 18, with over 1350 students on roll.  Around 360 of those are in sixth form. It is an English medium comprehensive situated in the village of Hope, Flintshire.
