City of London Academy Shoreditch Park (COLASP) and City of London Primary Academy Islington (COLPAI) are part of City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) and are seeking to appoint a dedicated and exceptional Finance and Operations Director. As Finance and Operations Director, you will have responsibility for finance, human resources, facilities management, catering, and governance functions across the two academies based in Islington and Hackney. The successful candidate will be the leading support staff professional across the two schools and work as part of the Senior Leadership Team in each school to assist leaders in their duty to ensure that each school meets its educational aims.

About our Academies

COLASP occupies a brand new state of the art building, offering inspiring learning opportunities in the heart of one of the most diverse and vibrant areas of Hackney. COLASP opened in 2017 and achieved exceptional GCSE results in 2022 for the first cohort of students, over 20% above national average. The school is oversubscribed for entry into Year 7 with the first cohort of sixth-form pupils having joined in September 2022.

COLPAI opened in 2017 with 60 reception places, and has continued to grow, year on year, and is on target to reach its full complement of 420 pupils by 2024. In 2019, COLPAI moved into its new state of the art building near Barbican Station. COLPAI is a non-selective, fully inclusive school, with a vision to provide a world-class education for every child including pupils with special educational needs.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional school Finance and Operations Director to join our ambitious team from April 2023. The successful candidate will shape this new role and make it their own, promoting the highest standards of business management for COLASP and COLPAI. They will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across other COLAT primary and secondary schools as well as the central MAT team, with specialist support in finance, HR, facilities and estates, IT, and governance. COLAT is based in the heart of evolving communities in London, and we value the diversity of our workforce. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds to join our team.
