Finance and Payroll Officer—Salary: Scale 5 point 22 – 25 (Full Year Contract) 

We are seeking a permanent Finance and Payroll Officer to be responsible for payroll administration service for the North West cluster of schools in close liaison with the payroll service provider. The successful applicant would report to the Cluster Finance and Resources Manager. The four schools in the cluster are located in the town of Darwen and include a primary school, a studio school, an 11-18 school and an 11-16 school. The preferred start date is 1st February 2018, or as soon as possible after that date.

The purpose of the role is local responsibility for payroll and: 

To provide a customer-focused and effective finance service that facilitates accurate, timely and efficient financial processing that meets the needs of the schools’ operations. 

To ensure that the Trust’s financial processes adhere to financial regulations, the Academies Financial Handbook and any other requirements specified by the Director of Finance and Resources.
