The overriding ambition of the Glasgow Colleges’ Regional Board (GCRB) is to build Scotland’s most inclusive, most responsive and most effective regional college system. This post provides a superb opportunity to play a significant role in achieving this ambition.

We are seeking a Finance and Resources Director to join the staff team at the GCRB.

GCRB has accountability for the allocation of circa £80 – £100 million annually and is responsible for the coordination of a coherent regional education service comprising over one fifth of the total delivery of Scotland's colleges.

Working closely with the GCRB Executive Director, the Finance and Resources Director will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of funding arrangements for its three assigned colleges and ensuring that these deliver regional strategic goals and achieve best value.

Key priorities for the role include the development of regional financial strategy and ensuring a robust framework of financial management to meet the requirements of GCRB’s strategic, financial and business plans and its financial and legal responsibilities. The post holder will also lead regional planning of estates and resource use, ensuring that college services are delivered in support of regional strategic objectives and provide efficient and effective use of available resources.
