South Thames Colleges Group are now looking for a Finance Apprentice to assist in a number of areas in the Finance function and gain all round experience in the work of the Finance team.

You’ll assist in the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams and generate sales invoices from invoice requisitions and update the sales ledger with cash receipts. You will also assist with recording Government Procurement Card expenditure and reconcile cash advances and income received. Updating the finance system in accordance with Finance operating procedures will also form part of your responsibilities.

This opportunity would suit someone who has 5 GCSE’s at grade C/4 or above (including English and Maths) and who has experience of using own initiative. You’ll have good written and verbal communication skills along with a good level of IT skills, including experience of using databases, Microsoft Office, the internet, and email.

Willing to work flexibly as part of a very busy team, you’ll have the ability to work accurately, calmly, and effectively, meeting set deadlines. You’ll have a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality in relation to information management.
