Birmingham Ormiston Academy is a 14-19 specialist arts academy sponsored by The Ormiston Trust and Birmingham City University. Our founding partners are Maverick TV and the BRIT School. The academy continues to develop new partnerships from business and industry who are offering high levels of support, investment and opportunity for both students and staff. The academy opened in September 2011 with approximately 325 students in Year 12. We now have over 1000 students - 364 at KS4 and 663 at post-16.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Finance Assistant to work in our busy and vibrant Finance Office, working with the Group Management Accountant and the Finance Officer to administer the finances of both the Academy and the Old Rep Theatre.

Effective communication skills are required together with the ability to work well under pressure.

We are keen to attract proactive individuals with good IT skills who can meet deadlines and complete tasks to the highest standards.  You will have strong organisational skills, experience of dealing with young people and have attention to detail.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference to the future of education within a world class academy.  If you share the academy’s vision and ambitions, possess a strong desire to work within an ethos of creative collaboration and partnership and want to have a positive impact on young people, families and the community then we would be delighted to hear from you.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
