About Redmaids' High School
Redmaids' High School - Junior, Senior and Sixth Form
Occupying a spacious, green and open site near to Bristol city centre, Redmaids’ High School is the oldest surviving girls’ school in Britain with a history that dates back to 1634. Formed out of a merger between the Red Maids School and Redland High School in 2016, we are proud to be one of the leading independent day schools in the South West for girls aged 7-18.
We are also a proud member of the Girls' Day School Trust family of schools, a leading family of independent girls’ schools in the UK. GDST schools share an ethos and heritage of girls-only education and are members of a unique network which adds value to each school, student and member of staff. As part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) family of schools, Redmaids’ High staff benefit from networking opportunities, enabling staff to share best practice and develop initiatives that benefit all our schools and students
We are proud of our dedicated and passionate team of teaching and support staff, who are committed to providing outstanding educational opportunities for our students and ensuring all areas of the school run smoothly. We are also fortunate to work in attractive, well maintained buildings looking out onto beautiful grounds and to be able to enjoy friendly conversation over delicious lunches with our colleagues each day.
Redmaids’ High is an inclusive environment and is continuing to take steps to enhance and improve our diversity and equality of opportunities. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
