FINANCE ASSISTANT (Fixed 1-year term)
For start – as soon as possible
Full-time – 37 hours per week, all year round. Part-time hours and term time only considered for the right candidate

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a keen eye for detail who is either looking to develop their skills or take that first step towards a career in finance. The successful applicant will have outstanding arithmetical skills, organisational skills, and be an excellent team player.
Working with the Greater Nottingham Education Trust finance team, based at Carlton le Willows Academy, duties will include raising purchase orders with suppliers, recording transactions on the finance system and supporting with the financial management of the Trust. Experience in public sector finance and/or working in schools would be advantageous.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, have good time management skills, excellent customer service skills, the ability to use initiative, work under pressure and be an effective administrator.

Fantastic Results
With a consistent record of high academic attainment, Carlton le Willows remains one of the top performing schools in the area - achieving the best ever results in the school's history this summer. Results for 2025 saw 85% of students achieve a Grade 4 or above in English and Maths, compared with a 65% national average. In total 69% of students secured a strong pass of a Grade 5 or above in those two core subjects- far exceeding the national average of 46% and meaning we are placed well above similar schools nationally.
A level students in our high performing sixth form also celebrated strong results with more than 91% of the cohort securing a place at their first choice university, retaining our reputation for academic excellence post 16.
