The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our fantastic team.
About the role
In this role, you will support the efficient operation of the finance function by managing billing processes, monitoring income, and ensuring timely collection of fees. The role involves liaising professionally with parents/carers regarding invoices, payments, and outstanding balances, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting income reconciliation procedures.
As with all school roles, safeguarding is a core responsibility. You will follow all safeguarding policies and procedures, engage fully in training, and prioritise the wellbeing of students and colleagues.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Finance Assistant with a strong focus on billing and income collection. The successful candidate will be confident managing fee invoicing. monitoring payments, and ensuring outstanding balances are followed up in a professional and timely manner.
You will be comfortable liaising with families regarding fee queries, demonstrating empathy while maintaining clear and consistent financial processes. Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to handle sensitive conversations with discretion are essential.
We are looking for someone who is resilient, solution-focused, and able to build positive working relationships while upholding financial policies. Experience in billing, credit control, or finance administration is important, and experience within an education or childcare environment would be an advantage.
