We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Finance Assistant to join our growing, dynamic and supportive school. Working as part of a small, close knit team within the school Finance Office you will support the Finance Manager and Director of Business and Finance.
You will have experience of operational day-to-day finance activities in a busy environment and be confident working effectively under pressure. Strong numeracy and communication skills and a keen eye for detail are essential for the role.
This is an extremely busy position and the successful candidate must be hardworking, energetic, reliable and have the ability to deal with issues using their own initiative as they arise. There will also be a requirement for some ad hoc work during the school holidays which will be discussed at interview.
For our 1500 students, Horsforth School provides an engaging environment of discovery and growth. For our colleagues too, this setting offers some great benefits. Located in north-west Leeds, the school is just five miles from the city centre with its thriving retail, leisure and cultural facilities, yet on the edge of open countryside. York, Harrogate and the Dales are within easy reach.
GCSE and A Level results are consistently well above the national averages and in both 2022 and 2023 the school had the best A Level results in the whole of Leeds. Horsforth School was also named one of the top schools in Yorkshire in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide in 2022.
