CONTRACT: Permanent 

WORKING PATTERN: 35 Hours per Week (8.00am – 3.30pm), term time only plus 10 days in accordance with the needs of the school. 

SALARY: Grade 4 Points 17 - 21 (£17,772 – £20,138) pro rata 

START DATE: ASAP

You will be located in Didsbury, (often voted as one of the most popular places to live in Manchester) only a short walk from the vibrant shops, bars and restaurants of Didsbury village. You will also have access to excellent transport links to Manchester city centre and surrounding areas.  

Working alongside the Finance Manager, you will provide day to day finance and administrative support to the school, including processing orders and invoices on FMS, undertaking BACS payments, cash handling, recording online payments via Parent Pay. In addition, you will liaise with suppliers by telephone and in writing, be responsible for inputting and reporting on financial information and assisting with the management of the school bank accounts.   

You should:  

• Have previous experience of working in a finance setting

• Have excellent numeracy skills  

• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, being able to communicate at all levels.  

• Have excellent IT skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of FMS would be an advantage 

• Be able to work to a high degree of accuracy 

 • Be pro-active with the ability to act on your own initiative 

• Be able to prioritise workload, multi-task and work under pressure
