New Bridge Multi-Academy Trust is a vibrant, aspirational and inclusive multi-academy trust of six special schools and with two specialist post-16 provisions across Oldham, Tameside and Rochdale. As part of the wider New Bridge Group there are also a two post-19 provisions. All of the children and young people have an EHCP with the settings supporting a wide spectrum of needs from age 4-19 and beyond. We are looking to recruit an experienced and proactive finance assistant to provide a high-quality support service to the finance team and to our schools and services within the group.
The duties and responsibilities of the finance assistant will include the running of the purchase ledger function up to scheduling invoices for payment, maintenance of the fixed asset register, raising monthly sales invoicing, process and reconcile charge cards, and assistance in the month end and year end accounts production.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate in their application that they have:
- Experience of running a purchase ledger system
- Experience of working within a finance office
- Working to deadlines
- A professional approach to their work and the ability to work effectively with a range of team and other staff throughout the Trust.
- The ability to work on a full time /full year basis
- Familiar with a variety of account packages e.g. Xero and PS Financial

Salary: Salary NJC points 12-17: £26,421 - £28,770 per annum
Hours of work: Based on 8am – 4pm (Monday to Friday)
Contracted hours: 36 hours 40 minutes per week / full year
Based: Initially based in offices at Spring Brook Upper School – Failsworth, M35 0DQ
Commencing: As soon as possible
