Finance Assistant - Scale 2 TBC – Depending on experience

37 hours a week, all year round

Uppingham Community College is a highly successful 11 – 16 school and the governors are seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant who has the tenacity, skills and flexibility to work in a fast moving environment.

The successful candidate will have Maths and English GCSE A-C, excellent IT skills with the ability to utilise the full range of Microsoft applications and ideally be able to use the Financial Management System (FMS).  Well-developed organisational and communication skills are essential and a good understanding of school systems and procedures would be preferable.  The post holder will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties including: – raising orders and processing invoices on the FMS system; maintaining financial records; preparing complex correspondence and mailshots and other key documentation for parents/carers; assisting in the co-ordination and delivery of college projects; supporting the collation and preparation of data and other management information.

This is therefore a very exciting opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic individual who is looking to fully utilise and further develop their skills.
