37 Hours per week: 52 week contract
Grade 6: Salary range: £19,171 and £20,344 per annum, dependent on experience
The Gryphon School, part of a growing multi-academy trust, is recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic individual to the post of Finance Assistant. This is an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to develop a career in finance whilst receiving the support of an experienced team who manage the school’s budget and undertake a variety of day to day operations.
Your main responsibilities will include providing operational support across all matters arising in the school, supporting and maintaining the school’s financial accounting systems to facilitate effective financial control. Undertaking general office, administrative and operational duties, as required.
Successful candidates will possess or desire to work towards a recognised accountancy qualification and ideally have prior experience of working in a busy school environment. Proficiency and confidence in the use of Excel spreadsheets is essential and knowledge of the PS Financials accounting software would be advantageous. Ability to prioritise, plan and organise themselves to meet the fast-paced and changing business demands of the school is also essential.
