Hoe Bridge School is seeking a Finance Assistant to join the Finance Team. The role will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, staff expenses and payments, ensuring compliance with the school’s financial policies and relevant regulations.

Candidates should be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and prioritise work efficiently. Strong organisational and administrative skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality, stay calm under pressure, and handle sensitive situations with tact and discretion. The role supports the smooth running of the school’s finances and maintains strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Ideally, candidates will have experience in an accounts payable or finance administration role. They will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, strong organisational and time-management skills, clear communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance systems, with experience in a school or not-for-profit environment.

This is a part-time role working all year round. The hours are 30 per week during term time and 15 to 22.5 per week during school holidays, which is equivalent to 0.75 full time. The salary range is £27,000 to £28,000 FTE and will reflect qualifications and experience.
