Finance Assistant

37.5 hours per week- all year - Office based

Team Pangbourne requires a Finance Assistant to join our small, friendly and supportive Finance Team. This is a key role within our Finance Team, assisting the Director of Finance in ensuring the smooth running of our Finance function.

Ideally you will have accountancy qualifications or qualified by experience. You will possess excellent spreadsheet skills including using formulas and pivot tables. Strong reconciliations experience, ability to prepare VAT returns and post journals is essential. We are happy to consider study support for accountancy qualifications for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Posting of bank transactions and daily bank reconciliations
  • Posting of petty cash transactions and monthly reconciliations
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Monthly posting and reconciliations of intercompany accounts
  • Monthly posting and reconciliations of payroll accounts
  • Raising invoices as appropriate
  • Reconciliations between the purchase order system and accounting system
  • Supporting outsourced payroll provider
  • Supporting Purchase ledger function

Daily school transport services are available from Ascot, Basingstoke, Henley/Wargrave, Maidenhead, Newbury and Wantage.
