FINANCE MANAGER - EDUCATION 

SALARY FROM £32798 TO £38553

We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and diligent Finance Manager to join our new business support team.   

The successful post holder will support the Director of Finance and Operations in all aspects of financial management of the school. 

The role will be to lead the daily work of the Finance Office and include

• Preparation of monthly management information

• Financial returns

• Monthly control procedures

• Manage and operate the finance system

• Payroll management

• Seek to ensure value for money

• Oversight of trips

• Gift Aid 

You will need to be a fully or part qualified accountant, preferably used to working in academy school finance and hence used to deadlines and ability to work under pressure.    As a line manager you will need experience in team management, be a good communicator and expected to support the values and ethos of BSG.

Bournemouth School for Girls is a selective secondary grammar school located in Bournemouth, Dorset. With around 1200 pupils on roll, including over 350 in the Sixth Form, Bournemouth School for Girls is larger than the average secondary grammar. The school converted to academy status in 2011, and is now part of the South West Academic Trust. The trust includes a large number of grammar schools across the region, and is directly affiliated with Exeter University. The school can boast of a wide range of facilities, including large playing fields shared with a local boys’ school.
