Sedbergh School and Casterton, Sedbergh Prep School are seeking a highly professional, motivated and positive person to join their busy finance team as Finance Manager.

Reporting to and working with the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day finance function, overseeing end-to-end finance operations and ensuring that accurate management reporting is delivered on a timely basis for decision making purposes at all levels of the organisation. The Finance Manager will also ensure that a robust financial control environment is maintained and that processes are as efficient as possible. In addition, this post will have line management responsibility for a finance team of seven staff, with three direct reports.

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with Membership of a recognised Professional Accounting body. Excellent interpersonal, IT, problem solving and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to drive for results, working under pressure and to tight deadlines, while sustaining attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
