Shenfield High School is seeking to appoint a qualified and credible finance professional to join our team in this pivotal role within the Finance Department.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the finance functions in accordance with the Academies Financial Handbook and the

School's Financial Regulations working closely with the Chief Finance and Operation Officer and including the line management of a small finance team (2 colleagues) who oversee all aspects of financial support to the school, including ordering and invoicing, month end procedures and budget monitoring.

The successful candidate will come from a proven financial background with recent experience of financial accounting systems within a school or business environment.

Shenfield High School is a co-educational, non-denominational 11-18 secondary school located in Brentwood, Essex. At its most recent inspection there were 1,145 students aged 11-18 on the school roll, 350 of whom studied in the sixth form. The area of Shenfield has a population of 5,500 and is serviced by a station on the Liverpool Street Line, which will be the final stop on the Crossrail Elizabeth Line. 

Shenfield High School was opened in 1962 and converted to academy status in 2012. 

The school is underpinned by its philosophy of "Learning for Life" and promotes Learning, Respoect, Responsibility, Security, community & Success as its key values.
