Finance Manager

Strive4 Academy Trust was established in September 2017 with two outward-facing, successful primary schools (serving over 1300 children). We have plans to grow each year; developing into a 'family' of schools that will collectively enhance the experiences and life-chances of our pupils. We are now expanding our finance department and are seeking to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic Finance Manager to join our central team.

Location:                  Strive4 Trust Head Office at Ray Lodge Primary School

Salary:                       £37,038 - £38,607 Actual Salary - £33,053 - £34,453

Working pattern:     Term time + Inset + 2 weeks in the school holidays

Start Date:               Subject to notice period

Contract:                  Permanent

Job Type:                  Full Time, 36 hours per week

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• An accountancy/financial qualification, such as AAT or equivalent
• An excellent understanding of financial analysis and reporting
• The ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
• Experience of working in an education setting, (desirable but not essential)
• Experience of working in a financial leadership role
• The ability to prepare, maintain and report on monthly management accounts and forecasts, prepare and monitor the annual budget whilst identifying areas of efficiencies and savings
• The ability to operate, monitor and maintain systems for effective budget management
• Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to confidently present statistical information
