Finance Manager

The Westgate School is committed to the wellbeing, development and growth of staff and students so that all can flourish together.  We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Finance Manager to support the Head Teacher and the existing Finance Team in effectively carrying out all financial processes.  The Westgate School is an oversubscribed, hugely successful, secondary school with exceptional facilities and has just completed a further expansion project.  We currently have 1217 students on roll including Sixth Form and 140 staff supporting positive outcomes for all our students.

The key responsibility for this role is to provide high-quality financial support service to the school which ensures that the school’s financial systems and processes are managed and operated efficiently and effectively, which includes payroll and pensions.   The ideal candidate will have experience in an educational setting, budget monitoring and knowledge of the statutory financial requirements adhering to EFSA guidelines.  Prior knowledge of Civica would be desirable but training is available to the right candidate.

Term time only plus INSETS/twilights + 2 weeks (41 weeks) 37 hrs per week
