Join a Trust-wide finance team where your expertise will shape decisions, influence outcomes, and drive improvement across our secondary schools.

The role:

As Finance Manager, you’ll take the lead on financial strategy and operations for our family of secondary schools, while contributing to wider Trust initiatives.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you’ll partner with school leaders to deliver expert financial insight, oversee budget planning, and drive improvements through strong financial control. This is a high-impact role combining operational leadership with strategic influence, supporting the Trust’s mission to raise standards and improve life chances for young people.

This is an exciting time to join a collaborative, ambitious central services team during a period of growth and opportunity.

About you:

You know how to turn financial data into meaningful action and build trusted relationships across both finance and non-finance teams. With a keen eye for detail and a mindset focused on improvement, you're motivated by purpose and ready to contribute to something bigger. Ideally, you're fully or part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent), or working towards it - you’ll be fully supported by NCLT through funded CPD and a clear commitment to your ongoing development.

Working at NCLT:

At New Collaborative Learning Trust (NCLT), we believe every role, whether in the classroom or supporting behind the scenes, plays a vital part in shaping young people’s futures. As a values-driven and inclusive organisation, you’ll join a team where 96% of staff feel a shared sense of purpose and pride in their work. We offer a supportive, forward-thinking environment with flexible working, strong wellbeing initiatives, and high-quality professional development for all staff.
