Job overview

This is a senior leadership role.  You will be responsible for the financial leadership of the school’s budget [currently totalling £10m 2024] ensuring efficient and effective allocation of resources in line with school priorities and the Strategic Vision of the school. Ideally you will have had at least 5 years experience of working in a school finance function.

You will report to the School Business, HR, and Estates Strategy Director in a role that goes beyond conventional financial management.  You will lead in seeking opportunities for growth and income generation by actively pursuing grants and sponsorships thereby fortifying the financial stability of our school.

Your leadership style will be characterised by a relentless pursuit of excellence, as you instil a culture of high standards and attention to detail within your team. Upholding regulatory standards and fostering adherence to the Seven Principles of Public Life will be paramount in your approach.

Crucially, your ability to prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Governors will ensure transparency and maintain the highest standards of financial integrity at all times. As a leader, you will not only navigate the complexities of financial management but also inspire trust and confidence in our institution's fiscal practices.

About Ricards Lodge High School

Ricards Lodge High School is a girls-only, comprehensive secondary school with sixth form situated in Wimbledon, south-west London. It is a community state school and was known as The Wimbledon Day Commercial School when it opened in 1924.

A larger than average secondary school, Ricards Lodge provides 1,200 places for students between the ages of 11 and 19 when fully subscribed.
