The Trent Academies Group is a multi-academy trust, based in Nottingham. Our aim is to support schools and academies in providing outstanding education for their pupils. The Trust currently consists of Rushcliffe School, an outstanding school in West Bridgford and The Farnborough Academy, Clifton and the Arnold Hill Academy, Arnold. However, the trust will, subject to due diligence, merge with the Spencer Academies Trust from 1st September in order to give our staff the opportunity to broaden their range of skills and experience and bring benefits to our pupils and the whole education system.

In our Group we work together, share staff, join up expertise, build on each other’s strengths, pool resources and combine facilities, so that everybody, staff and pupils, gets the chance to shine and achieve their best.

We wish to appoint a Finance Officer to join the team at The Farnborough Academy. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is willing to learn and help develop the financial administrative support in the academy.

The person appointed will act as the first point of contact for most finance orientated enquiries from staff, parents and pupils. The role includes all aspects of Finance including sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash handling and banking, BACS payments and bank reconciliation.

Please refer to the job description and person specification for more details of the duties and responsibilities.

It is intended that the role would be based at The Farnborough Academy but the diversity of academies within the Group will provide fantastic opportunities for individuals to develop practice and skills.

If you think you have the relevant experience in this area please apply on our website http://www.thefarnboroughacademy.co.uk/index.php/information/vacancies.

The Trent Academies Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share in this commitment. This post may be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Farnborough Spencer Academy launched on 1st September 2014 and officially converted to being part of the Spencer Academies Trust from 1st October 2018.The academy  provides the young people of Clifton and the surrounding areas with wide ranging opportunities. Firmly rooted in the local community ,our aim is to provide high quality education for up to 1000 young people giving everyone the chance to shine brightly.

The academy is on a path of rapid improvement and we are proud of how rapidly the quality of teaching and the behaviour of pupils has developed in the past two years leading to the best ever GCSE results in August 2018. Through excellent support and CPD opportunities for all staff provided by the Spencer Academies Trust we believe that this record will be broken in the next academic year.  We are now seeing an academy developing that the whole community can be very proud of.
