About St John Paul College Coffs Harbour

St John Paul College is a mixed, non-selective, independent, Roman Catholic secondary school in New South Wales, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school is situated in Coffs Harbour.

Formerly John Paul College, the school was renamed St John Paul College in 2014 following the canonization of Pope John Paul II. The school was founded in 1982 by the parishes in Coffs Harbour and Sawtell, and opened in 1983 with the assistance of the Sisters of Mercy.

St John Paul College offers a wide range of modern educational and sporting facilities to help ensure that students benefit from the highest quality of learning during their time at school. These include computer rooms, a sports hall, concert halls, music rooms, science laboratories and extensive outdoor playing grounds. 

Curriculum

St. John Paul College offers a comprehensive curriculum encompassing a broad range of subjects and courses preparing students for both the RoSA and Higher School Certificate. The school offers SEN pupils and those with exceptional skills and abilities additional support and guidance catered to their needs to ensure that they achieve their potential. Careers advice is also offered to help pupils focus on developing a study plan to achieve their desired future goals.
