Finance Officer St Joseph’s Catholic School Murgon is seeking an organised and experienced Finance Officer to assist the Principal with a wide variety of administrative and financial tasks, to support the operations of the school. This position requires you to work as part of a close-knit team, in a busy school office environment. This term-time Level 5 position is to commence on the 03/06/2019 and is to be a part-time continuing position. The focus of this position is to coordinate the financial administration activities of the school including: assisting the Principal with budget preparation, monitoring expenditure, purchasing of resources, accounts receivables, financial reporting and records management. Other general office duties may be assigned as appropriate. To be successful in the role you will have prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting procedures, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An ability to liaise with families, students and staff with tact and empathy is needed, along with negotiation skills, to ensure any issues are resolved and key deadlines are met. St Joseph's Murgon is a Primary School offering families a parish-based, comprehensive, inclusive, holistic and future focused education within the Murgon area. We are a Marist school imbued with the spirit and charism of the Presentation Sisters, Edmund Rice and Indigenous. Our approximate enrolment is 110 students.

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
