Job overview

We are seeking a talented individual to take the role of Finance Operations Manager within our Central Services team in order to oversee  the day to day financial activity of the Trust.

In September our Trust will comprise of 10 schools across both the primary and secondary sector.  We will also be rolling out a new Trust wide finance system and designing our own data dashboards which will provide next level consolidated reporting.  This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team that shapes the future of finance within a strong multi-academy trust.

Working closely with the CFOO, the Finance Operations Manager will co-ordinate the finance responsibilities across the schools, providing support and trouble shooting as required.  They will also be responsible for ensuring that the finance policies and procedures are being fully implemented across the schools.  In addition there will be liaison with our auditors and preparation of returns to external agencies.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in managing a finance function to the highest standard, constantly striving to seek improvements in processes.  They will possess excellent IT skills and the ability to manage, manipulate and interpret data quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Although based in our Central Services location, there will be a requirement to travel to our school sites as necessary.
