An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Services Assistant to join the Finance team at Nottingham College.

We are looking for someone with experience of working in a financial environment with financial systems who has sound knowledge of financial regulations and their application. The successful candidate will also be solution focused and passionate about delivering excellent customer service to the rest of the College.

In addition to this, you will be able to build collaborative working relationships across a range of teams within the organisation and with external customers whilst working proactively within a team to drive improvements. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are therefore essential.

The successful candidate will be based with the rest of the Finance team at the Adams campus, reporting in to the Finance Services Manager. This person will be responsible for working across the financial spectrum ensuring that all financial transactions in relation to Income, Purchasing and Banking are correctly processed and maintained within the finance system for Nottingham College. Your duties will also include providing financial information and support to students, customers, suppliers and members of College staff

The ability to work to tight timelines and problem solve will be key to success in this role and we are looking for someone with strong organisation skills and a proven track record of delivering to deadlines.

Nottingham College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational general further education college situated in Nottingham. It is a 16 plus with five different sites in the centre of Nottingham. The latest Ofsted report identified 14,029 learners at the school, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.

The college was established in 1998 through a merger of smaller educational centres in the Nottingham area. Further merging has happened, most recently early in 2017, when the college merged together with Central College Nottingham.
