The successful candidate will undertake all aspects of the finance provision in a busy and service driven environment.

The working week will be 25 to 30 hours spread equally over the School week, term time only plus 10 days. This is equivalent to 40 working weeks of the year. 

In March 2018 Ofsted confirmed that the School continues to be a Good school. 

The Finance Technician will work closely with the Business Manager undertaking all aspects of providing whole school support within the Finance office, ensuring the smooth running of the office, is undertaken in a professional and efficient manner. The main duties of the role include assisting with all the routine tasks within the Finance Office eg day to day transactions, ordering resources, entering invoice details, collating BACS payments, journal data entry, etc.   

In addition, the Finance Technician will be involved in the production of monthly, quarterly and annual reports, reconciliations and returns.  The successful candidate will be required to liaise with students, parents / carers, staff, suppliers, government departments, Local Authority and, therefore, the ability to communicate to all levels is essential. 

The ideal applicant will have good all-round financial skills gained through professional training and experience, the ability to prioritise their workload, meet deadlines and have the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Manager undertaking any other appropriate duties, as requested by the Business Manager, to assist with the efficient running of the School’s support services.
