We are a medium-sized family of 10 Bradford District schools, secondary, primary and special. We are determined to be remarkable because the communities that we serve deserve it. Remarkable to us is an important word, it is a mindset, it is our aspirational ideal, it is beyond the fixed state of outstanding. We strive to be remarkable in all that we do because our students deserve nothing less. We want no child to be left behind. As a trust, we are evidence-informed and outward focused. We are keenly interested in ‘the best that is thought, said and done’ nationally and internationally, however, we are locally serving. Our people: colleagues, students, families and their context matters.
People First Charter
Our People First Charter is unique to us, having been crafted with a wide range of staff over a full year. We aim to attract and retain mission aligned people, enhance employee engagement and maximise performance. This charter makes clear what we are striving to achieve as a people first organisation and is underpinned by our 3 strategic anchors: invest in people, implement with rigour and clarity, and demand remarkably high standards. Our overarching People First aim is to be one trust where all belong.
- Professional growth: Investing in people is one of our 3 strategic anchors. We are determined that all colleagues feel self-determinant and successful.
- Benefits: Intrinsic motivation is only possible if pay and conditions are fair and transparent for all.
- Wellbeing: People matter to us. Their lives. Their stories. Their authentic selves.
- Culture: Small actions and interactions matter as much as strategy. Culture must be intentionally crafted and nurtured through us all living our values every day.
- Equity, diversity and inclusion: Work on inclusion is never done. It takes honesty and hard work and the courage to admit when we get it wrong. EDI is the lens through which we must view the other 4 pillars.
