We are a dynamic growing Multi Academy Trust and are looking for an experienced (qualified or part qualified) accountant to ensure compliance and support the day to day financial operations at our schools within the trust.

We are offering this role as three days a week, but believe it has the potential to become full-time as we grow. We have two schools currently, Grey Court School in Richmond and The Hollyfield School in Surbiton, please do have a look at their websites for more information. The role is likely to be based at The Hollyfield School.

The role will see you leading and producing our annual statutory accounts, including managing the audit.

Taking ownership of the finance policies, and designing and maintaining processes that ensure that a robust control environment is in place. You will be responsible for the day to day financial operations by effective management of the finance team ensuring processes are being carried out fully. You will manage our tax affairs, including producing and submitting accurate VAT returns, P11Ds and end of year accounts.

Ideally this will suit someone who has good extensive knowledge of accountancy, developing and implementing strategies, key objectives, systems, processes and procedures relating to finance and best value as this will be an integral part of the position. Your strengths will lie in the building and management of key relationships with external providers, notably the bank, investment managers, auditors and HMRC.

The ability to provide clear and concise financial information both verbally and in written form to a range of audiences is essential. Knowledge of the MAT sector would be seen as a bonus and you must display a passion for making a difference to the education of young adults.

We are a trust that is very excited about our future plans and the opportunities this will bring to both our staff and students.

The closing date for applications is: Friday 3rd November 2017

Interviews: to be held w/b 6th November 2017

If you would like to work with us then we look forward to hearing from you. For further details about the trust please visit either the Grey Court School or Hollyfield School websites and for more information about job descriptions and application forms, please visit the Grey Court School website or call 020 8948 1173.
