First Aider / Administrative Assistant

We are seeking either an experienced first aider or qualified nurse with a friendly, caring and approachable manner to join our team.  In addition to providing medical care to pupils and staff, applicants must be prepared to work collaboratively with the administration team to support the smooth running of the School Office.  The First Aid Room is a term-time only facility providing medical care to pupils aged 2-13, as well as staff and visitors as required.  The First Aid Room is open from 8am to 6pm and is staffed by a team of two First Aiders on a job share basis.  The hours required for this role are 1.30pm to 6pm Monday to Friday during term time only.

Located adjacent to the School Office, the First Aid Room provides a warm and welcoming service to the School community.  Candidates must be able to work autonomously, demonstrate effective communication skills and have the ability to react calmly and confidently in a crisis.  The appointed person must be capable of, and enjoy, working with children and the School Office team.  Qualifications must include a valid First Aid Certificate, or a readiness to train to refresh or acquire one.  Salary will be according to experience and qualifications.  Full details and an application pack are available on our website or from the HR Manager, Emma Mitchell.
