The Chiltern Hills Academy invites applications for an exciting opportunity to join the staff of a successful, mixed 11-18 Church of England Academy in the Chiltern Hills, conveniently situated at the end of the London Underground Metropolitan Line.
We are seeking to appoint, from January 2022, a kind, caring and compassionate individual to oversee the care of students who are unwell or injured. They will act as the primary First Aider and be responsible for the Medical Room. The successful candidate will also provide support to our Safeguarding Lead and work as part of the Safeguarding Team on issues of child protection. They will offer wider support to our Student Services team and will have strong interpersonal and administrative skills. A working knowledge of a school environment, policies and procedures would be a distinct advantage. The post holder will be situated in the main school office and as such will be expected to carry out their duties against a background of constant interruption and conflicting demands so the ability to multi task is vital.
We have been graded ‘good’ following our latest SIAMS inspection (March 2020). “The academy is highly inclusive, and tireless in supporting all of its pupils and staff. Because of this, each person is known, nurtured and inspired. This enables them to make strong progress from their starting points”. Our OFSTED inspection in February 2017 also judged the school as ‘good’ in all categories.

Chiltern Hills Academy is a Church of England, co-educational secondary school in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. There are circa 1025 students on the school roll, approximately 100 of whom study in the Sixth Form. Chiltern Hills Academy converted to academy status in 2011 and is jointly sponsored by the Diocese of Oxford and Buckinghamshire Council.
We are situated in the market town of Chesham, Buckinghamshire in the Chiltern Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated close to the M40 and the M25, Chesham is on the end of Metropolitan line of the London Underground and is 28 miles north-west of London. There is ample parking on-site.
