Job overview

This is a fixed term post required from March 2022 and is anticipated to last until end of summer term 2022.  Please note that 0.4FTE of this post is to cover maternity leave and will cease early should the substantive post-holder return prior to 31st August 2022.

We are looking to appoint a confident and motivated teacher to join a committed, supportive and hardworking team who work together to provide a caring, inclusive environment where there is a strong ethos of achievement for all.   

Applications are welcome from those who are experienced as well as from early career teachers, who would receive the appropriate training and support.  We would be willing to split the post between more than one candidate, depending on the applications received. 

This post will involve the following teaching commitments each week:

- One day in Foundation as a job share with the class teacher.

- One day in Year 1/2 to cover PPA time for the class teachers.

- One day in Year 3/4 to cover PPA time for the class teachers.

- One day in Year 3/4 as a job share with the class teacher. 

You need to be:

• An excellent class teacher with high expectations for all pupils;

• A teacher with excellent classroom management and organisational skills;

• A dynamic and creative classroom practitioner, with high standards of planning, delivery and assessment;

• Able to promote high standards and secure excellent levels of progress; 

• A teacher with a secure understanding of excellent assessment for learning practice;

• Able to build a strong rapport with children, parents and colleagues and be a committed team player; 

• Able to demonstrate a secure understanding of the Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Lower KS2 curricula, and how to deliver these effectively;

• A teacher who is committed to inclusion;

• Able to be part of a curriculum team, leading on teaching and learning of a subject across the Trust.
