[We are seeking a School Officer – Food Technology & Administration to provide administrative and operational assistance to the Academic Leader of Technologies (Food Technology) and the Business Manager.

The role holder will have an awareness of the responsibilities of the Academic Leader and the activities of the Department.

The School Officer supports the Academic Leader in the provision of practical teaching and learning activities in the kitchens (junior and senior industrial kitchen).

The role holder operates within the Catholic Educational environment and culture and will be supportive of the mission of the College.

Typical duties performed include, but are not limited to:
• Food based support – Junior & Senior
• Online shopping (physical where needed), sorting and preparing classes for cooking
• Cleaning and maintenance of kitchens
• Budgeting, invoicing and administration
• In class support (minimal)
• Other duties as delegated by the Principal and Business Manager
The successful applicant will display proven communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an understanding the student learning environment.

Position Tenure:  Fixed Term

Weeks Worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):  2022 School/College Year

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: Part-time 23hrs per week - over 5 days/week (days to be determined).

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer Level 3 - $29.77 per hour

Employment Conditions:  Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
