We are looking for a Football Coach to join our pro-active and dynamic Andy Griffin Football Academy (AGFA) who has had previous experience of delivering football programmes within the post 16 education sector.

The post holder will also have had previous experience of working within a professional football environment, with knowledge and understanding of ECFA League and Cup Competitions.

The post holder will require a full valid driving license and be qualified/prepared to drive a mini bus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead on and deliver, engaging and competitive Andy Griffin Football Academy training sessions across both Newcastle and Stafford campuses.
  • Support the delivery of and participate in AGFA analysis sessions following weekly fixtures.
  • Support the Schools Liaison team in terms of the delivery of school taster and recruitment sessions for football across both Newcastle and Stafford campuses.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Has a minimum FA Level 2 Football Coaching qualification.
  • Is highly motivated, enthusiastic with high standards and expectations.
  • Has a flexible approach in line with the demands of the AGFA throughout the year.
  • Holds a current First Aid Certificate or is willing to train to gain one.

Newcastle-Under-Lyme College is a mixed, non-denominational further education college in Staffordshire, serving students from the age of 16 and above. The further education college, situated in Newcastle under Lyme has approximately 3,800 full time learners on site every year, along with 2,600 part time or adult learners.

Newcastle-Under-Lyme College opened in 1986 and in 2010,  moved to a £60 million campus. In 2015, a £5.5 million performing arts centre opened, while an outdoor learning centre built the following year. The college works closely with LEGO Education to help support learners and teachers and has invested £60,000 in a LEGO Education Innovation Studio. Other facilities include The Gordon Banks Sports Centre, which features a 24 station gym, a media theatre, fashion studio and a hair and beauty training salon. In 2013 it was identified as good by Ofsted.
