Marlborough College seeks an outstanding, and sector-leading, Foundation Director who can help the College become one of the UK’s most successful fundraising schools. This is a senior appointment; the post holder will report to the Master and be a member of the Management Team. The successful candidate will build upon the significant fundraising successes of the last five years, and set strategy to take development, and major gifts and bursaries fundraising, to the next level.

They will lead a mature and successful Development team in all aspects of fundraising and alumni relations. Since 2014 the Development team has raised approximately £11.2 million and significant progress has been made in establishing a comprehensive framework of fundraising including major gifts, regular giving and the development of legacy income.  In addition the Development team also supports a flourishing programme of engagement for the Marlburian Club.

Development and fundraising activities will be key to realising the College’s goals to achieve 30% access on a needs-blind basis and generate significant income to continue investing in ambitious future capital projects. 

This is a once in a career opportunity for a senior development strategist and major gifts specialist. The importance of the post is recognised with a sector-leading remuneration package.
