An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and nurturing tutor to join our Foundation Learning team. The development of Foundation Learning in the City is still in its infancy; therefore, we are looking for someone who is passionate about working with some of the more hard-to-reach and challenging learners and providing them with a platform to potentially change lives.

What you’ll bring

The successful person will be involved in developing projects within the curriculum that will inspire learners and provide them with wide ranging opportunities to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours and thrive. The curriculum will include a combination of vocational studies, English and maths GCSE and functional skills, as well as real life experiences that will enrich their learner journey.

Nottingham College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational general further education college situated in Nottingham. It is a 16 plus with five different sites in the centre of Nottingham. The latest Ofsted report identified 14,029 learners at the school, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.

The college was established in 1998 through a merger of smaller educational centres in the Nottingham area. Further merging has happened, most recently early in 2017, when the college merged together with Central College Nottingham.

Nottingham College has a high success rate for getting its former students into a successful place in the job market or further education. It also provides an adult education service

The college specialises in music and performance as well as excelling in its media and creative courses. It hosts a wide range of facilities to help its learners’ experiences, from a hair and beauty salon and art gallery through to a music venue and theatre.
