• 8.00am – 16.15pm (Mondays – 17.15pm finish)

• Monday to Friday

• 1 Prep evening to 18:00pm

Role:

We are searching for a Foundation Stage Teacher to provide outstanding teaching, maintaining the high standards of the Collegiate.

The postholder will join the department at an exciting time, as super-curricular opportunities are being developed alongside the academic curriculum, providing career development and varied responsibilities. Applications from NQTs are also welcome. 

This job description is written at a specific time and is subject to change as the demands of the Collegiate and the role develops. The role requires flexibility and adaptability and the employees of the Collegiate need to be aware that they may be asked to perform tasks and be given responsibilities not detailed in this job description.  


Chapter House 

Chapter House is a vibrant and engaging school with a warm family atmosphere. Children are welcomed from three months old and stay until Year 5, allowing them to build strong relationships with fellow pupils and their teachers.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Establish an appropriate learning environment

• Maintain good order and discipline amongst the pupils, safeguarding their health and safety

• Interrogate assessment data in order to identify appropriate attainment and/or achievement targets

• Monitor pupil standards and achievements against annual targets

• Monitor planning, curriculum coverage and learning outcomes

• Monitor standards of pupil behaviour and application

• Ensure that relevant attainment/achievement targets are met

• Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required on pupil achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidence

• Provide other staff with relevant subject, curriculum and pupil performance information


General Duties


• Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person

• Be aware of and support difference, ensuring all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop

• Attend and participate in regular meetings

• Supervise pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities as required

• All staff are expected to carry out the usual duties associated with a boarding school. This will include a weekly prep or after school duty on one night of each week and extra-curricular activities. Staff are expected to have a commitment to the boarding ethos of the school.
