Founding PYP teacher
Cognita Schools is looking to appoint a full time founding PYP Teacher from 1st September 2021 for one of its schools in Madrid.
PYP teacher must ensure, under the guidance of, and in collaboration with the PYP Coordinator, an inquiry-based learning experience for our 3–12-year-old students and act as a role model and facilitator for the early years-primary teachers, supporting the creation of the Units of Inquiry, lesson plans and the delivery of the IB-PYP programme in the near future.
The ideal candidate will have an honours degree and an internationally recognised teaching qualification.
It's necessary to have at least 2 or 3 years experience of teaching EAL and/or of teaching in an international school across the 3 to 12 and to be an effective communicator in English and Spanish, ideally bilingual.
IB accredited training in the last two years and a proven track of record of continual self-development and professional training is desirable.
It’s a private mixed school that caters the educational needs of students from the Spanish and international communities in Madrid.
Children from birth to eighteen years of age are admitted to a complete and highly successful educational experience.
Though the majority of students are Spanish, numerous nationalities are represented in the student population.
Traditionally our students rank among the best of the students throughout the Spanish schools in Madrid, on external exams taken by those students. Accordingly, all graduates of the senior school go on to higher education.

Contract: Full time and permanent with remuneration and working conditions that reflect the Spanish national collective bargaining agreement for private education.
