  • Information et conseil en orientation post-bac dans le système français pour les élèves et leur famille, en groupe ou en entretien individuel ;

• Formation des enseignants en matière d’orientation française ;

• Organisation d’événements et conférence en relation avec l'orientation (Forum des carrières, conférence élèves et parents, visites d'institutions,   journées portes ouvertes…)

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Travailler en partenariat avec l’équipe d’orientation sous la direction du responsable de l’orientation ; 

• Travailler avec, conseiller et accompagner l’équipe pédagogique ;

• Participer à l’élaboration de la politique d’orientation pour les élèves du secondaire ;

• Participer aux conseils de classe et d’orientation en collaboration avec l'équipe d’orientation ;

• Conduire des entretiens personnalisés d’orientation avec les élèves et rencontrer les familles afin d’apporter du soutien et des conseils pour l'orientation personnalisée, différenciée et impartiale ;

• Créer des outils, des présentations et des événements pour répondre aux besoins des élèves, parents et enseignants ;

• Travailler avec la responsable d’orientation et  l'équipe d’orientation afin de continuer à établir des relations avec  les représentants des établissements d’enseignement supérieur français et britannique ;

• Organiser et collaborer pour la mise en place du Forum des Carrières et des Études Supérieures ;

• Aider à la diffusion et la communication des informations en lien avec l’orientation (newsletter, page orientation du site, emails, …) ;

• Produire des statistiques de suivi des élèves ;

• Actualiser et mettre à jour en permanence ses connaissances en matière d’orientation et se former régulièrement.

Education & Experience Required 

• Aisance pour s’exprimer en public, bonne communication écrite et orale et une vraie capacité d’écoute ;

• Adaptation et réactivité ainsi que bienveillance et patience ;

• Capacité à travailler à la fois en équipe et en autonomie ;

• Réel enthousiasme pour le sujet de l’orientation scolaire ;

• Capacité d’organisation et de conception d’outils d’information ;

• Compétences informatiques : recherches Internet, Google, PowerPoint, Excel, Word ;

• Excellente connaissance du système éducatif français ;

• Respect des règles de confidentialité et d’impartialité ;

• Bonnes compétences en anglais préférées ;

• Formation de conseiller d’orientation ou expérience significative dans le domaine ;

• Enseignants intéressés par l’orientation post-bac ou formateur de jeunes en matière de développement de carrière.

This job description sets out the duties of the post at the time it was drawn up.  The post holder may be required from time to time to undertake other duties within the School as may be reasonable expected, without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed.  This is a common occurrence and would not justify a reconsideration of the grading of the post.

The Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill occupies the site of the former Brent Town Hall, a 1930s Grade II-listed building in the late Art Deco style that was bought from Brent Council by the French Education Property Trust in 2012. The new campus is set over five acres, with 12,000 square metres of refurbished and purpose-built teaching spaces for the three levels of schooling:

  • Early Years/Primary: Nursery/Reception to Year 6
  • Lower Secondary: Years 7 to 10
  • Upper Secondary: Years 11 to 13

The campus boasts multiple onsite sports facilities including a running track, three outdoor grass pitches, and an indoor gymnasium. The newly-constructed annex building houses modern science classrooms and a large, bright canteen.

2020 University Offers and destinations:

Our final year (Terminale) students currently have offers from top universities in six different countries, including the UK, France, Canada, Spain, the US, and the Netherlands. Two-thirds of the total UK offers received so far are from Russell Group universities, including University of Cambridge, Imperial College, University College London (UCL), the London School of Economics (LSE), King’s College, Durham University, and the University of Edinburgh.

Additionally, 85% of students that applied via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) have received three or more offers to date (out of a maximum of five). Our Terminale students have also received great offers so far from École Polytechnique (Bachelor), The University of British Columbia (UBC)-Sciences Po, McGill University, University of Toronto, IE University, Maastricht University, Northeastern University, and Columbia University-Sciences Po. More offers are coming in every day! We are proud of each and every one of our graduating class members.
