Girton Grammar School is a co-educational, non-selective, independent day and boarding primary and secondary school, serving students aged 4-18. Located in Bendigo, Victoria the school has approximately 1200 students and 160 teaching staff. Founded in 1884, the school is committed to investing in teachers and ensuring they have plenty of professional development opportunities. The school has two campuses, with the junior school a short walk from the senior school.

Facilities

Located in Bendigo, Girton is very competitive in a number of sports. Facilities include new buildings, a swimming pool and a gym. The school has a strong emphasis on the arts, and a recently built performing arts centre has given students a place to engage, with over 100 performances each year. 

Curriculum 

Senior students follow the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) curriculum, while the National Curriculum is followed up until then. A wide range of subjects are offered, Girton  also educates students in emotional intelligence, following Yale University’s RULER model. The school also employs staff who are capable of assisting people with different abilities and needs.
