French Teacher (Secondary), Doha, Qatar

The Swiss International School of Qatar is seeking an outstanding and forward-thinking French Teacher for September 2020. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of the founding team of educators that has established the IB  MYP at SISQ.  

The French team is the largest one in the school, with 5 PYP teachers and 4 MYP / DP teachers. All SISQ students study French from PK onwards and we cater for all levels, from complete beginners to fluent students.

SISQ is an IB continuum school and is fast becoming one of the leading educational institutions in the region. 

The successful candidate will have the following essential qualities:

• Experience teaching French in an international school setting
• Ability and willingness to teach lower Secondary students at all levels, including complete beginners and advanced students if necessary
• Be a fluent French speaker or have a native level of French proficiency 
• Strong spoken and written English
• Extensive curriculum-writing skills and experience 
• A collaborative style and a good sense of humour 
• A commitment to continuous improvement 
• A commitment to student learning and safeguarding  

The following qualities would be an advantage: 

• IB (PYP, MYP and/or DP) experience
