Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible team player to manage the ticketing and tracking of bookings for the Bedales Events Programme.  

Our busy programme of dance, drama, music, social events and talks serves the school and local community and is a vibrant part of our evening calendar.  You will be able to connect with local networks, distributing print marketing and press releases to the wider community. You may have experience with social media marketing too.

You will take the lead role in all public facing interactions. You will manage a student ushering team and will act as a customer service ambassador.

Experience & Background

The successful candidate must have strong administrative, communication and IT skills as well as the ability to plan and prioritise your work.

Hours of Work

This post works term time and you will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, excluding unpaid breaks, to be worked between the operational hours of 08:45hrs and 23:30hrs as agreed with the Deputy Head (Operational & Co-curricular).

In addition you will be required to support the Annual Rock Show charity event for up to 40 hours in any one academic year. 

Salary

£14,822 per annum annual starting salary based on the above hours and weeks of work.

All candidates will undergo a Safeguarding Suitability Interview and application for an Enhanced DBS and Barred List check and be asked to provide evidence they are eligible to work in the UK, on an on-going basis, at the shortlist stage of the selection process.

Bedales School is an independent, co-educational, selective, day and boarding school for children aged 3-18. It is situated in Petersfield in Hampshire and there are 460 pupils on its roll. There are admission fees and scholarships and bursaries are available.

Bedales is a charitable trust and was founded in 1893 by J H Badley as a humane alternative to the authoritarian regimes of the late-Victorian public schools. Its founding ethos was, and still is, “Head, Hand and Heart.”
