Fryer House Manager

From November 2022


Leighton Park is looking to appoint a House Manager with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work alongside our Fryer boarding House Team. This is a non-residential role and is pivotal to the success of the boarding experience at Leighton Park.

The Fryer House Manager will form part of a close team; supporting the Head and Assistant Head of Fryer in sharing knowledge, challenging themselves to continually improve and, whilst adopting the School’s Quaker ethos and educational aims, they strive for excellence, not only in themselves but also in the students in their care.

As a House Manager, your warm and empathetic personality, tactful manner and good listening skills will be essential to build harmonious relationships with all students, staff and parents. Your excellent communication skills and ‘can do’ attitude will take our House provision beyond outstanding. Discretion and confidentiality are paramount with this role as is a genuine understanding of the needs of teenagers. The role is multi-faceted alongside the above will require you to demonstrate excellent levels of planning and organisational skills to manage the daily operations of Fryer House. A willingness to participate in all aspects of boarding life is essential.

The House Manager will need to be computer literate and hold an up to date first aid qualification. Training will be given in child protection, safeguarding, dispensing medicines and on our, boarding software, REACH.
